Embroidery Machine Operator
Machine Operators work industrial embroidery machines to place decisions on merchandise. The embroidery machine operator's responsibilities include setting up embroidery machines and troubleshooting equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean, fold QC, press and bag item
- Observes sewing operation to detect defects in stitching that indicate machine malfunction and corrects malfunction when needed
- Obtain embroidery design files and download from database to embroidery machine
- Selects size and color thread and draws it through machine guides and bobbin
- Observes sewing operation to detect defects in stitching that indicate machine malfunction and notifies supervisor of malfunction
- Reads work order to determine type and location of embroidery
- May repair defective embroidery or fill in blanks left by embroidery machine
- Ensure items are embroidered with correct logo and colors as noted on work order
- Ensure that daily manufacturing schedules are met
- Minor routine maintenance/repair of equipment
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend for up to 8 hours/day
- Perform quality control on the apparel, organize, pack and prep boxes for shipment
- Previous embroidery machine a plus
Must have:
High school diploma or GED
