CEG’s industry leading client is seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to join their growing team in Memphis, TN. The Electromechanical Technician will be responsible for disassembling and inspecting electric motors, troubleshooting technical issues, documenting diagnostic tests, and recommending solutions. Job Responsibilities:
- Disassembly and Inspection: Skillfully disassemble and inspect 5-7 electric motors weekly, ensuring proper handling and documentation of components.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose technical issues in electric motors using diagnostic tools and testing procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of disassembly and Root Cause Analysis for each job.
- Collaboration: Work with Operations Manager, Equipment Repair Manager and repair teams to ensure repair solutions are on schedule.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling sensitive equipment and ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical certifications or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience as a technician in electromechanical systems and electric motors. Familiarity with disassembly and reassembly processes.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Communication: Clear communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in handling components and documenting processes.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and processes in the electromechanical field.
- Fast-Paced Work Ethic: Enjoys staying busy and following processes in a systematic organization.
- Safety Conscious: Prioritize safety in all tasks and operations.
- Physical Requirements: Standing 8+ hours daily, lifting up to 50lbs, and bending/reaching.
