Elder Assistant

This position will work at Mennonite Memorial Home or Maple Crest - both facilities in Bluffton. Being an elder assistant is a great way to introduce yourself to the world of healthcare or elder care. Develop meaningful relationships and make a difference in the lives of our residents. Provides personal care services such as bathing, grooming and other activities of daily living to elders as assigned  Observes and reports changes in elders conditions to Elder Services Coordinator and coworkers; responds to emergencies and provides first aid and  administers CPR if necessary, calling necessary personnel.  Serves/assists elders with meals, helps with dining room service. Visually observes and documents information accurately pertaining to health of elders, changes in elder's functional status, personal needs, appointments, etc.
