The Opportunity:
The Efficiency Coordinator, SBES Non-Electric, will manage communications from contractors, customers, and internal staff and assist in executing a provincially funded non-electric rebate program for small businesses in Nova Scotia. This multi-faceted position includes leading a variety of tasks using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, in support of report preparation, proposal preparation, and data management. A high degree of attention to detail and a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office products are required for this position. Daily interactions with staff and clients need a candidate with a professional and positive demeanor in person and on the phone.
Responsibilities:
- · Administer a portfolio of projects for non-electric small business customers.
- · Provide customer and contractor support while offering advice on energy savings, incentives, and other EfficiencyOne services.
- · Provide accurate energy savings calculations and incentives to customers.
- · Support and conduct project monitoring and verification.
- · Review and report on technical information where applicable.
- · Track nonelectrical savings and rebates for internal targets and report to the SBES Program Manager.
- · Database input and management, maintaining the online filing system, and other program administration.
- · Collaboration with team members and other departments.
- · Responding promptly and thoroughly to requests for information.
- · Approve projects (savings and incentives) within an established threshold.
- · Perform all other duties as required.
What Will Help You Succeed?
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, superior time management skills, and excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- The ideal candidate will be flexible, have above-average attention to detail, and be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be self-motivated, work independently, take initiative, handle multiple tasks, and work to a high standard
- Valid driver's license.
In the first week, expect to:
- · Meet with the team.
- · Read the Evaluation Report and Program Manual.
- · Be prepared to read previous evaluation reports and the Program Manual. Familiarizing yourself with the information in these reports for each program is the first step to understanding your role.
In the first month, expect to:
- · Become familiar with the program’s targets, goals, and objectives.
- · Learn how to navigate the AHRI, DLC, and Energy Star websites to approve measure criteria.
- · Learn the most popular measure criteria.
- · Learn how to use the Customer Information System (CIS), and how to apply energy savings to all popular measures.
- · Become familiar with the program process flow.
- · Learn how to navigate/use the program shared inbox.
In the first three months, expect to:
- · Become familiar with measuring criteria.
- · Become familiar with the CIRx tool and the general energy savings calculations.
- · Become more fluent with project approval.
- · Be able to manage the program-shared inbox without assistance.
