Regional Director of Development (Denton/Frisco)
Salary starting at $70,000/year. Salary is determined based on experience.
The Regional Director of Development is responsible for leading fundraising and donor engagement efforts within their assigned region to advance the mission of Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas. This role focuses on securing funds and major gifts, cultivating corporate and foundation partnerships, engaging community volunteers, and representing the organization at regional events.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet or exceed revenue goals with the Development team.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and donor impact reports.
- Collaborate with the development team to align regional fundraising efforts with organizational goals.
- Build relationships with local businesses, civic organizations, and community leaders to expand the organization’s reach.
- Serve as a spokesperson and advocate for the organization in the region, representing the mission at networking events and public engagements.
- Attend and support fundraising events, donor appreciation gatherings, and community awareness programs.
- Secure event sponsorships and in-kind contributions to enhance fundraising efforts.
- Work closely with the events team to maximize donor engagement and revenue opportunities at regional events.
- Provide regular progress reports and updates on fundraising performance to Chief Development Officer.
- Develop and implement stewardship plans to retain and upgrade donors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Travel
This position will require moderate travel within the assigned region as well as travel between all offices (Lewisville, Denton, and Bridgeport). Travel may be rarely out-of-the-area, requiring overnight stays. This position frequently requires evening hours and occasional weekend work.
Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in business, non-profit management, or communications field required.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in non-profit fundraising, development, or major gifts solicitation required.
- Proven track record of securing financial contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Raiser’s Edge experience preferred
