A little about our Early Intervention Department

The Early Intervention (EI) Department offers early intervention and children’s mental health programs designed to reduce risk and enhance the development of substance-exposed children (prenatal - 6 yrs).  They provide services which address maternal substance use concerns and related issues, and the parenting relationship, through community based, cross-systemic partnership.  The EI department also conducts evaluation and research activities focused on issues relevant to programming and services provided to families.  The programs available are, but not limited to: Breaking the Cycle, Parent-Infant Program, BTC Pregnancy Outreach Program.

As an Information Management Assistant, you will…

  • Assist with updating and development of program content and materials
  • Provide administrative support to early intervention programs
  • Compile demographic and service data
  • Maintain confidentiality protocols
  • Provide support to research projects
  • Attend training and team meetings as required
  • Follow safe work procedures, including reporting injuries and any unsafe conditions

This position is partially funded by Employment and Social Development Canada and the incumbent must meet the following criteria:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
  • Be Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have official refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada, according to relevant Provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.


You will be set up for success if you have… 

  • Successfully completed the 2nd or 3rd year of a diploma or degree program in Psychology, Social Work, or Early Childhood Education
  • Research experience preferred
  • Experience in data entry, statistical report generation, and other research-related administrative work
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite is required
