We are in search of a Driver for our Web Engines facility in Liberty, TX. 


JOB TITLE:                  Driver

DEPARTMENT:            WEB Engines   

FLSA STATUS:            Non-Exempt    


SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Transport machinery, parts, and perform recertification on products by performing the following duties: 

SUPERVISION:

Reports to:                    Facilities Assistant

Supervises:                   This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Keep the parts department up to date on delivery schedule.
  • Maintain cleanliness and operability of delivery truck.
  • Obeys all traffic laws and follows established traffic procedures.
  • Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Management.
  • Fill customer orders and prepare them for delivery.
  • Recertify gauges and build thermal coupling
  • Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
  • Load flatbed truck in a safe manner, securing all items in the bed of the truck.
  • Retrieve parts returns and report them to Parts Manager or responsible Counter Person.
  • Complete vehicle safety checks per company policy and operate the vehicle within the safety guidelines.
  • Pick up parts and equipment from customers, shipyards, and vendors.
  • Follow all delivery, pick-up processes and protocol to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to read, write and speak clearly in the English language.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Proficient spelling, grammar and written communication skills.
  • Current and Valid Driver’s License.
  • Good driving record
  • Driver must be approved by the Company's commercial auto insurance underwriter and at least 25 years of age. 
  • Use computer, cell phone, and handheld e-mail capability on a daily basis.
  • Experience in field.
  • Communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
  • Familiar with maps and verbal directions.
  • Some knowledge of Coast Guard regulations and licensing requirements pertaining to vessel personnel.
  • Required at times to wear life vest, nomex suits, and hard hat.
  • Required to be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

LANGUAGE SKILLS                                                     

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS                                             

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY                                                  

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires driving a vehicle on a daily basis as necessary for errands and business related meetings. Employee and/or applicant must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History check and possess and maintain a current valid driver's license in their state of residence. Driver must be approved by the Company's commercial auto insurance underwriter and at least 25 years of age.
