Job Description: This position
will primarily transport new patients/residents from the hospital to our
facility.
- Safely operate a motor vehicle /van to transport passengers, goods, or materials to their destinations.
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other road users.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, performing routine inspections and addressing any mechanical issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service, including assisting passengers with loading and unloading belongings and ensuring their comfort throughout the journey.
- Navigate routes efficiently using maps, GPS devices, or other navigation tools to minimize travel time.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, dispatchers, or supervisors to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and any changes to the schedule.
- Handle paperwork accurately and efficiently, by ensuring all documents are provided to the nurse assigned to the patient/resident upon arrival.
- Respond calmly and professionally to any emergencies or unexpected situations that may arise during duty.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, conservators, and other stakeholders.
- Experience working in a nursing / skilled facility setting
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Familiarity with relevant DIDD/ ECF regulations and standards
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Requirements:
- HS diploma, GED., or equivalent (minimum)
- CDL license preferred
- Valid TN Driver's License
- No more than 3 moving violations on your MVR within the past 3 years
- US work authorization
- Able to pass drug test at any time
- Prefer candidates with CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License
