Hydraulic Suction Dredge Leverman Job Description

Reports to: Operations Manager

Job Description:

• 12 hour shifts
• Operate the cutter/suction dredge, operate spuds, swing on anchors
• Manages the consistency of the slurry entering the pump to maximum production
• Communicates clearly with marine traffic
• Follows all company and work site safety policies/procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned by the project site management
• Strives for ZERO harm to people, equipment and environment

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience working as leverman on a hydraulic cutterhead dredge
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
• Must be able to pass a post offer physical exam and drug screen
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site
• Must be able to travel and live onboard the dredge or support vessel

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift or carry miscellaneous equipment, supplies and parts up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to tolerate vibrations, heat, confined spaces and high noise levels
