Dorm Parent
Do you want to make a difference in the life of a teenager? Do you have the desire to be a leader and a mentor? We are seeking a responsible, positive, hard working role model with a passion for working closely with middle and high school students to provide transformative experiences in a boarding school setting.
LCA Dorm Parents participate in supervision of student activities, out-of-town trips, transportation, and essential functions of the dorm program. They work with dorm leadership to create a safe, healthy and positive environment that fosters a culture of academic excellence, social and spiritual growth, and authentic Christian community. This is half-time position during the academic year that includes housing and two meals per day. Most shifts are during afternoons, evenings and/or weekends, so this job is a good complement to graduate studies or other part-time employment.

Responsibilities include:
Participate in the daily life of the students including meal time and evening study hall.
Provide active supervision of students including nights, weekends and holidays.
Complete necessary paperwork and duty reporting for scheduled shifts.
Track students through the REACH software - a student location software.
Participate in the planning and executing activities for the students on weekends and holidays.
Participate in daily transporting of students to and from the LCA main campus, airport runs and day trips. Dorm Parents must possess a valid driver’s license, be a safe and responsible driver, and have a clean driving record.
