For 30 years, the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation has been raising awareness of the need for private funding and supporting seminal research that has provided the conceptual framework for modern day investigations into Alzheimer’s disease. Located on the upper east side of New York City. The Foundation has provided millions of dollars funding primarily the research conducted at the internationally renowned scientists at the Fisher Center lab at Rockefeller University, NYU Langone, and Imagine Institute in Paris, France. POSITION OVERVIEW

A Donor Gift Processor is needed to join our small team, collaborating to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's disease research. The ideal candidate will have experience in a nonprofit fundraising environment and solid experience utilizing Salesforce. The Donor Gift Processor will add and keep biographical data, pledges, and gift processing activities in the foundation’s CRM platform. The role also involves researching, entering, verifying, and updating donor data, correcting inconsistencies, and generating clean-up lists as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience processing donations from various sources and forms. The Donor Gift Processor is familiar with handling major donors, workplace giving, matching gifts and donation portals. Maintaining confidentiality of data following security standards is crucial. The successful candidate will be organized, neat, initiative-taking, focused, calm under pressure, and work well with other team members.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Open daily mail, prepare donations for deposits, record donor information, and handle acknowledgment letters and tax receipts.
  • Look up donor information in donation portals, determine fees associated with donations, and answer light incoming calls.
  • Perform data entry and reconciliation, including checking matching gifts and confirming when donations are received.
  • Enter all donations into Salesforce database using established gift coding and reconcile funding totals with the finance team.
  • Generate mail merge data, review and print donor acknowledgment letters, tribute cards, stuff envelopes, and mail out.
  • Check general voicemail daily, email, and respond to inquiries and donor requests.
  • Create bi-weekly donation reports and analysis, and comparative donation reports, reconciling fundraising data with financial reports.
  • Create fundraising mailing lists for organization’s appeals and campaigns.
  • Assist fundraisers with donor-advised donations, matching gifts portal, and research donor prospect profiles.
  • Manage lapsed and new donor files for fundraising efforts.
  • Perform quality control checks of donations/gifts and pledges entered by other team members for accuracy and monitor database for formatting errors and duplicate entries based on SOPs, making changes and/or correcting errors.
  • Maintain and secure donor files, ensuring correct gift/grant/donation restriction documentation, and adhere to state, federal, and local government laws and regulations.
  • Monitor donor management policies and procedures for adherence to guidelines given by IRS and auditors.
  • Provide support to other team members and perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

·       The ability to input and retrieve correct data from Salesforce to create dashboards and reports using Excel.

·       Notable analytical skills for theories on various giving trends and/or workable donor cultivation(s) ideas.

·       Proper handling of confidential information with sensitivity and discretion; follow policy and procedures accurately and consistently.

Education and Experience

·       A degree from an accredited college is preferred.

·       Minimum six years of work experience with a nonprofit organization.

Technical Skills

·       Proficient in Salesforce, certification in Salesforce is plus; can learn and master Asana.

·       Intermediate Office 365 Business: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint

·       Experience with phone systems such as Yealink.

Working Conditions

·       The position is in a shared office space; normal work week is in-person Monday through Friday.

·       Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and using computer monitors.

·       Business smart attire is the style of dress.

SALARY

Compensation for regular employment: $60,000 - $70,000.
