Job Summary

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of MAH’s Premier Dog Day Care and Pet Boarding facility.  Teams with technical and customer service members to assure that client relations meet MAH standards of excellence.

General Accountabilities    

  • Provide quality client communications one client at a time and through accurate use of electronic record keeping.
  • Establish a trust between the MAH (patient facilities and boarding kennel) and our clients.
  • Maintain the established service, safety, and housekeeping standards.
  • Establish effective communication skills with clients and outside contacts
  • Conduct self as a professional to all employees
  • Oversee and ensure sanitation, feeding and bathing protocols as relates to the boarding kennel facilities.  Supervises dogs in daycare, provides boarding pets with playtime/limited training/behavioral services.
  • Ensure operations run smoothly.  Works with other departments to ensure a high quality overall customer experience.
  • Reports on, identifies, and manages projects to meet MAH objectives for the daycare department.
  • Develops relationships with customers.
  • Continuously evaluate behavior to ensure daycare environment is a good fit.
  • Discuss dogs with Dog Training team (as applies) and develop/execute behavior management action plans.  Continuously refine and develop enrichment programs and playgroup management techniques.
  • Develop and run daycare marketing events.
  • Ensure facility is in working order, identify and complete repair and improvements.

Qualifications

  • Prerequisites:  3+ years in animal field (dog training and behavioral degree a bonus); management / supervisory role
  • Position requires weekend hours
  • Can multitask and prioritize

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently required to talk or hear
  • Frequently required to bend, lift, or climb
  • Frequently required to lift light weights (less than 25 pounds)
  • Frequently required to lift moderate weights (25-40 pounds)
  • Infrequently required to lift, with assistance, weight 50 pounds or above

 Work Environment:

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts
  • Exposure to fumes or airborne particles
  • Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals
  • Possible risk of electrical shock
  • Possible risk of radiation
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud with large amount of background noise
