Dispatcher for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)
Brockton Home Health Transportation is a Non-emergency transportation primarily refers to Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT), a service that helps individuals get to and from medical appointments when they are not in an emergency but need assistance with mobility or lack a reliable way to travel. We are looking for an experienced and multi tasks dispatcher who can grow with the company.
Brockton Home Health Transportation bridge the gap for those who face barriers to accessing healthcare, such as individuals with chronic illnesses, disabilities, or those recovering from surgery. These services range from standard car rides to more specialized transport options.
Ambulatory Services: For passengers who can walk but may require some assistance.
Wheelchair Services: Vehicles equipped with ramps or lifts for individuals in wheelchairs.
Stretcher Services: For patients who need to lie down during transit.
Qualifications
Your ability to listen, speak plainly and communicate effectively will be necessary
You will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to multitask, communicate effectively, and manage your time efficiently
You must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure
Including scheduling conflicts, driver behavior, billing disputes, any vehicle problems
You will need know about limits on how long drivers can work without rest and take that into consideration when making schedules
You need to decide the safest course of action, such as getting emergency help when a vehicle is involved in a roadway situation
Responsibilities:
Schedule: From 7 am EST (8 hour shift), Monday to Friday with weekend availability
You will schedule vehicles to pick up and drop off clients to their medical appointments
You will inform drivers of their assignments for the day and/or week
You must be able to schedule last-minute trips requests and be sure the clients reach their appointments on-time
You will communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and drivers to ensure that everyone is aware of the schedule and any changes that may occur
You will be listening and speaking to people by dispatching software and phone
You will need to resolve any issues or complaints
You will need to be able to prioritize the most important situations and think quickly on your feet
You sound think ahead and anticipate potential problems, such as allowing extra time during stormy weather
You will responsible for completing all required paperwork on time
You will provide reports and analysis of transportation services to management and other stakeholders
You will maintain accurate records of all transportation requests, including patient information, pick-up and drop-off times, and billing information
Monitoring the performance of transportation providers to ensure that they meet service level agreements and quality standards
