Driver Supervisor 0428
The Driver Supervisor plays a key role in our work of transporting clients to needed care within the mental health system. This position oversees Drivers, collaborates with Operations Managers to maintain schedules and enforce policies, and manage all monthly reporting submissions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Create driver weekly schedules and routes, noting requests for time off, confirming 24/7 driver availability and 14-hour/day drive restrictions, minimizing the need for overtime pay, and submitting to Director of Operations for approval.
• Train all new drivers, detailing their role, available technology systems, needed reporting, and scheduling processes.
• Field calls from drivers, proactively watching for trends, offering guidance, and solving problems. Report recurring problems to managers for team discussion.
• Work collaboratively with Operations Managers and Dispatch to update and maintain a list of facility contacts and current drivers.
• Submit all weekly/monthly reports (mileage, vehicle maintenance logs, transport, and incident reports), utilizing data from Smart Sheets and software/apps.
• Drive excellence by creating efficiencies that will A) reduce the arrival time for drivers (under the 2-hour maximum) and B) reduce the amount of overtime paid to drivers, and C) improve drivers’ monthly safety scores in Samsara. Report all overages to managers.
• Approve all driver timesheets and prepare quarterly evaluations, submitting both to managers.
• Maintain maintenance schedule for fleet vehicles, rotating schedules as needed to accommodate repairs and upkeep.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
• Minimum of a high school degree.
• Proven ability to work remotely, managing time effectively to produce needed results.
• Operates with flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment, making immediate decisions and resolving conflict.
• Tech-savvy, good typing skills and experience with MS office products.
• Ability to multi-task, interpreting on-going problems and suggesting possible solutions.
