SUMMARY

Ensures that all dinnerware, glassware, flatware and service-ware is 100% soil-free and sanitized. Keeps sanitized dinnerware stocked and ready for use in the appropriate locations in the store.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Maintains a positive and professional approach to job duties, fellow team members and the guests, recognizing the value of teamwork.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, coping with the stressful situations with the patience and a positive outlook.
  • Displays a great sense of urgency, a strong attention to detail, and a desire to get things done right the first time.
  • Enjoys the challenge effectively managing multiple tasks without sacrificing quality or cost controls.
  • Exhibits an understanding of the importance of sanitation and food safety procedures, as well as safety procedures in the kitchen.
  • Maintains the dish machine, tables, walls and floors to their highest level of sanitation.
  • Places dirty dishes, glassware and silverware on racks to be washed.
  • Initiates spray hose and scrubbers in sink to wash away large particles and food items from dishes, plates, bowls, pots, and pans.
  • Places racks of dirty glasses, plates, bowls, and silverware into the dish tank machine and operate washing machine
  • Maintains proper wash and rinse temperatures.
  • Ensures that a proper dilution level of sanitizing solutions is adequate for all wash loads.
  • Removes clean plates, pots/pans, and utensils from racks, and places them in the appropriate locations for reuse, inspecting all items for cleanliness.
  • Re-stacks racks of glassware in server alleys where appropriate.
  • Organizes and stocks clean small wares wherever appropriate.
  • Breaks down and re-assembles dish machine as needed.
  • Refills soap solution in machine as needed.
  • Empties trash as needed.
  • Maintains a sanitary workstation using “clean as you go†attitude, including mopping surrounding floor areas.
  • Assesses level of sanitation or mechanical problems.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Utilizes all procedures with regard to sanitation and hygiene.
  • Maintains standards to ensure profitability without sacrificing quality control practices.
  • Exercises teamwork with other staff.
  • Abides by restaurant's standards, policies and procedures and safety rules at all times.
  • Reports to work on time, well groomed and properly attired.
  • Conducts self in a professional and respectful manner towards guests, fellow employees and management at all times.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all trade secrets, keeping all recipes, policies, and procedures confidential.
  • All other duties as assigned.
