The position requires excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, along with the ability to support the F&B experience at PSSC. This is a full-time position required to work at the property. This position requires non-traditional working hours which includes working nights and weekends and holidays.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Dishwasher to join our team at The Palm Springs Surf Club. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining hygiene standards will contribute to the overall success of our culinary operations.

Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashers or by hand as required.
  
  
• Sort, stack, and organize cleaned items in designated storage areas.
  
  
• Ensure that all dishes and utensils are cleaned thoroughly and are free from food residue and stains.
  
  
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and follow all established procedures.
  
  
• Remove trash and food waste from kitchen areas and dispose of it properly.
  
  
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters and surfaces.
  
  
• Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  
  
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of dishes during busy periods.
  
  
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
  
  
• Report any maintenance or repair needs for dishwashing equipment to the appropriate personnel.
  
  
• Follow the kitchen's sanitation and hygiene protocols, including wearing appropriate protective gear.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a dishwasher in a professional kitchen setting is a plus but not required.
  
  
• Basic understanding of proper dishwashing techniques and sanitation standards.
  
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
  
  
• Strong attention to detail to ensure dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
  
  
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  
  
• Team player with good communication skills and the ability to cooperate effectively with kitchen staff.
  
  
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the kitchen's processes and guidelines.
  
  
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
