The Director of Sales leads the sales efforts for this amazing property and is responsible for all aspects of hotel revenue. The Director of Sales reports to the General Manager and is a core member of their leadership teams. Regal Hospitality utilizes industry-leading third-party platforms to support optimal sales efforts and outcomes.


Other duties include:

  • Leads property-level sales efforts by actively calling on his/her market segments, providing exceptional customer service and driving overall hotel performance.
  • Cultivates relations with key community members and influencers to provide a strong positive image of the hotel and drive financial return.
  • Leads, develops and maintains relationships with key clients to produce group and/or business transient room nights, as well as meeting room sales.
  • Achieves budgeted revenues and personal/team sales goals and maximizes profitability within all areas of responsibility.
  • Participates in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, the hotel marketing plan, business plan, and financial plans which support the overall objectives of the hotel.
  • Produces reports and sales forecasts.
  • Creates and implements hotel-level tactical sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase business volume during off-peak periods, increase meeting room sales, and enhance the image of the hotel in the local community.
  • Monitors sales activities/performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed the established revenue plan.
  • Promotes teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.


The ideal candidate would have:

  • At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred; or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess highly developed verbal & written communication skills to frequently negotiate convince sell and influence other managerial personnel hotel guest(s) and/or corporate clients.
  • Must have thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting & closing.
  • Shows strong analytical skills and strategic vision in establishing appropriate sales deployment.
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong organization and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and manage people of diverse socioeconomic cultural disability and ethnic backgrounds while solving complex problems and creating a productive sales team.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the sales/marketing/hospitality profession.
  • Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations; maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Knowledge of Hilton Sales Tools and Systems, CVent, Lighthouse, is preferred.
