Director of Sales
DESCRIPTION
- Responsible to gain success through proactive Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Blitzes, and Site Tours.
- Ensure that the hotel is on target monthly with Sales and Marketing Plan in order to meet and exceed budget expectations.
- Attend regularly scheduled calls, conferences, training and reporting while accountable for delivering profitable results.
- Report as scheduled to Corporate Director of Sales/GM on assigned hotels performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ Years Director of Sales level or above experience with Hilton
- Experience executing Corporate and LNR rate strategy. Strong leadership and training skills
- Demonstrated excellent skills in closing and maintaining key accounts
- Demonstrated ability to analyze available reports such as STR, Hotelligence, TravelClick Rate 360/Agency 360, Shop reports, Business Intelligence Reports for opportunities to drive RPI and revenue
- Demonstrated experience in written correspondence, proposals, bids, follow-ups.
- Demonstrates high level confidentiality of sensitive information, discretion, independent judgment, integrity, respect, and professionalism at all times.
- Results-driven leader who communicates, creatively solves problems, collaborates effectively with operations and catering teams, and ensures completion of work in a timely manner.
- Sales Certification with Hilton is required along with Delphi certification.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop sales leads, prospecting, and sales calls
- Execute Sales and Marketing Plan to achieve Top Line revenue and RPI goals.
- Achieve sales performance goals (revenue, calls, reporting, share shift) as established on Quarterly Action Plan.
- Implement necessary strategies & activities to generate and maximize revenue that positively impacts all operating departments of hotel and results in profitability.
- Responsible to negotiate and close productive contracts, maintain client relationships, lead Blitzes, meet key clients, and challenges in market and industry to maximize rooms and rates.
- Complete the RFP process.
- Maintain positive interdepartmental communications between Sales, GM, RM and FOM.
- Monitor rates, key accounts, target/potential accounts, comp. set, public relations with local Chamber of Commerce and CVB in market to promote hotels and develop business and networking opportunities.
