Director of Recreation

A positive attitude and energy are a must!

Experience with activities in a healthcare setting must have experience working with residents with Alzheimer's dementia and /or Short-Term Rehab.

• Music talent a plus
• Must relate well with the residents and facility staff as well as exhibit a desire to perform all responsibilities of this position.
• Preferred two years' experience in recreation in a geriatric setting, ability to work effectively as a team member.

Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of the recreation program
• Develop program calendars and activity plans with staff

Requirements:

• Excellent leadership, communication, supervisory and team-building skills required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field desired.
• Ability to use a computer and input data.
• Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility
