Director of Product Development - Home Decor
A Los Angeles based leader in framed art, mirrors, and wall décor for the mass retail market, seeking an experienced Director of Product Development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead product strategy and development for wall décor and home furnishings
- Oversee end-to-end product development, from concept through production
- Manage and mentor product development and design teams
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Imports, and Samples
- Conduct trend research, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking
- Collaborate closely with overseas manufacturers on pricing, materials, and execution
- Ensure product quality, cost targets, timelines, and margin goals are met
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of product development experience in home décor, wall décor, or consumer goods
- Proven leadership managing creative and product teams
- Strong understanding of mass retail, pricing strategy, and speed-to-market
- Experience working with overseas factories and vendor negotiations
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
