Position Overview

The Director of People will serve as a trusted business partner to leadership and staff, overseeing all aspects of human resources, talent management, and employee engagement. This is a foundational role and ideal for a strategic HR leader who wants to design, implement, and scale people practices that directly impact culture, retention, and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead HR strategy aligned with company goals.

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives.

  • Implement employee review processes, performance management, and career development programs.

  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, state, and local labor laws.

  • Create and manage employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and culture-building strategies.

  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design.

  • Handle employee relations issues with fairness, discretion, and professionalism.

  • Manage benefits, compensation, and HR policies to support employee well-being and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 7+ years of progressive HR/People leadership experience, ideally in healthcare, home care, or service-based industries.

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices.

  • Proven experience building HR systems, processes, and metrics from the ground up.

  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

  • Experience working in high-growth or mid-size organizations a plus.
