Director of Patient Revenue Cycle 

Duties: 

·         Responsible for leading and directing patient revenue cycle operations at large medical practice. 

·         Supervises and manages accounts receivable and billing staff. 

·         Oversees auditing, proper coding, and customer service efforts related to revenue cycle activities.

·         Monitors third party payments for contract accuracy. 

·         Ultimately responsible for the success of company collections. 

·         Monitors and effectively responds to regulatory environment and payer changes affecting revenue cycle. 

·         Continually leads performance improvement activities to maintain or exceed key performance metrics as compared to their benchmarks.

·         Demonstrates effective problem-solving and action planning skills to improve internal and external operations.

·         Prepares monthly updates on the status of key performance measures.

·         Prepares ad hoc revenue cycle reports as requested by management.

·         Evaluates performance of staff by establishing objectives and providing constructive feedback on a regular basis.

Position requirements:

·         Must have effective, clear, and persuasive oral and written communication skills with individuals and groups.

·         Experience and subject matter expertise in medical billing and Medicare regulations

·         Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred

·         Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare administration, Finance or a related field of study.

·         A minimum of ten (10) years of healthcare receivables/revenue cycle management experience with at least six (6) of those years in a management capacity.
