Job Summary
Responsible for the overall management of resident care 24 hours a day, seven days per week.
Functions include
- Acting in the absence of the Executive Director
- Responsible for quality of care of residents
- Ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws/regulations and facility policies/procedures
- Assigning work responsibilities
- Completion of required reports
- Ensuring nursing department is achieving goals
- Performing all the duties of an RN, LPN, and certified nursing assistant when required
Skills
- Reading, writing and math skills
- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills
- Basic computer skills and able to operate various medical and office equipment
- Must be proficient in the English language, both verbal and written
Experience
- Experience in nursing services administration preferred.
- Education/experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is a plus.
Qualifications
Education/Training: Maintains a current, valid license as a registered professional nurse in good standing (RN). Must have current CPR certification.
