Job Summary

Responsible for the overall management of resident care 24 hours a day, seven days per week.

Functions include

• Acting in the absence of the Executive Director
• Responsible for quality of care of residents
• Ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws/regulations and facility policies/procedures
• Assigning work responsibilities
• Completion of required reports
• Ensuring nursing department is achieving goals
• Performing all the duties of an RN, LPN, and certified nursing assistant when required

Skills

• Reading, writing and math skills
• Strong interpersonal and communicative skills
• Basic computer skills and able to operate various medical and office equipment
• Must be proficient in the English language, both verbal and written

Experience

• Experience in nursing services administration preferred.
• Education/experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is a plus.

Qualifications

Education/Training: Maintains a current, valid license as a registered professional nurse in good standing (RN). Must have current CPR certification.
