Location: Rochelle Park, NJ
A Skilled Nursing Facility in Rochelle Park, NJ is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee all clinical operations. This is a full-time, permanent leadership role requiring prior experience as a Director of Nursing within a Skilled Nursing Facility.
The DON will be responsible for regulatory compliance, nursing department oversight, quality outcomes, and staff accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive oversight of all nursing operations within the facility
- Ensure compliance with New Jersey DOH and federal CMS regulations
- Maintain continuous survey readiness and clinical compliance standards
- Lead and manage nursing supervisors, unit managers, and clinical staff
- Oversee staffing levels, scheduling, and department performance
- Monitor infection control, documentation practices, and quality metrics
- Participate in QAPI initiatives and performance improvement planning
- Collaborate closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Facility required
- Strong working knowledge of New Jersey DOH regulations and CMS compliance standards
- Demonstrated experience managing survey preparation and regulatory processes
- Experience overseeing staffing, documentation compliance, and quality improvement
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
