SHIFT: FULL-TIME
SCHEDULE: MONDAY through FRIDAY
07:30am - 04:00pm
PAY RANGE: $79,289 to $90,000 Annually

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES & POSITION PURPOSE: The Director of Integrated Employment Community Based Services (IECBS) and Social Entrepreneurship Program will provide a wide range of support to the SDP such matters as, IECBS, person-centered planning, public policy, community relations, agency outcomes, systems, policies, and procedures, to ensure total comprehension by the Anthesis organization, board of directors, funding agencies and referral sources. In addition, this person will provide leadership and oversight with compliance, strategic planning, budgetary planning, and other areas critical to day programs. This position is also responsible for the creation of social entrepreneurship programs to provide opportunities for our participants to obtain vocational skills and opportunities to work within an Anthesis program or in the community. The Director will guide and assist the program management staff within IECBS with individual programming, issues, rights, advocacy, and volunteer opportunities in order to be in compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, Title 17, 22 and HCBS. In addition, the director will work directly with SDP and development team to create new social entrepreneurship programs.
Applicants must have proven experience running a community-based program vendorized through a Regional Center. Applicants without this experience will not be considered for the position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (includes but not limited to):
• Responsible for ensuring all job duties are performed in-line with and in support of the mission of Anthesis.
• Responsible for oversight of all staff associated within IECBS and Social Entrepreneurship programs.
• Develops and maintains program services in accordance with philosophies and objectives of Anthesis.
• Collaborates with Leadership Team including but not limited to, developing and implementing person centered planning and training for staff in day programs.
• Evaluates the results of overall operations as they relate to IECBS programming and Social Entrepreneurship and reports results to the CEO. Responsible for ensuring that enrollments meet budgeted goals and seeks additional enrollment through a variety of interactions with funders, families, events, and other places where individuals with disabilities can be introduced to Anthesis.
• Responsible for developing, managing, promoting, and motivating social entrepreneurship programs, such as arts & crafts and culinary arts program for life skills and vocational training, along with an opportunity to create a sales outlet through our retail store and community outings to fairs, events, markets where the goods produced in the programs can be sold.
• Collaborates with day and employment program directors to provide opportunities for presentations for Anthesis personnel, local business, school fairs, volunteer groups, etc.
• Ensures that all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with the regional centers, local, state and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
• Assists with reviewing, monitoring, and preparing action for the agency on legislative and policy matters affecting the organization and program participants. Assists with establishing operational systems and procedures which are consistent with policies and objectives and ensures their execution.
• Responsible for development, administration, and achievement of the agency’s outcomes management systems for IECBS and Social Entrepreneurship programs.
• Responsible for program compliance with all policies, systems, and procedures of Anthesis and standards of accreditation.
• Responsible for the execution and quality of IECBS employee performance evaluations conducted by IECBS management. Conducts performance evaluations for specified staff.
• In conjunction with Director of HR, will support the selection, hiring, disciplining and termination of personnel for subordinate positions within responsible programs.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS/OTHER DUTIES (includes but are not limited to):
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions. This list is not all-inclusive:
• Ensures that responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all subordinates are defined and understood. Guides and assists program manager and outcomes coordinators in various participant and program issues, program plans, individual rights, advocacy, etc.
• Ensures personnel and participant records are kept in accordance with confidentiality standards.
• Ensures participant rights and confidentiality are respected by all staff.
• Provides reports and information to board of directors as required by CEO.
• In conjunction with Director of HR is responsible for employee relations within program.
• Responsible for compliance with the safety standards of the agency, as well as any other assigned safety programs for all assigned personnel.
• Serves as executive liaison with referral agencies, licensing, accrediting bodies, residential care providers and family members and handles difficult situations as they arise.
• Provides supportive supervision, technical assistance, and in-service training to staff and program participants related to IECBS program.
• Assists in the preparation of the annual budget for IECBS, as well as other financial reports for the organization.
• Ensures compliance by all assigned personnel with job descriptions.
• Regular attendance in conformance with Anthesis standards is essential to the successful performance of this position.
• Attends training programs, which may include travel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs all subordinate employees within the IECBS and the Social Entrepreneurship programs; is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the programs. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws; responsibilities will include but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION / EXPEREINCE
Bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation, social work, psychology, human services, administration, other related field, and a minimum of 3 – 5-years’ experience running an 055 or 531 community-based program, vendorized with a Regional Center, for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Proficient in MS Office, particularly in, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and use of internet and email.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Current and valid California driver license with driving record acceptable to the organization’s insurance carrier; must meet eligibility criteria of the State of California Community Care Licensing, including CPR/FA certification and/or the ability to certify.
