Kasey Paige Health Care is seeking a Director of Care. The Director of Care oversees the entire nursing department. The Director of Care ensures the nursing department is following the policies and procedures set forth by the organization and giving optimal care to the residents. The Director of Care is a direct reflection of the performance and compliance of the nursing staff. The Director of Care will train, educate, and assist the nursing staff. This is a salary position.

Essential job functions are as follows, but are not limited to:

·        Train and oversee the performance and compliance of the nursing staff. Provide training and education as needed. Provide in-servicing bi-monthly.

·        Follow the weekly checklist, monthly task list, and monthly audit list. Ensure all tasks are completed for the nursing department. 

·        Coordinate staffing and complete the staffing schedule. Monitor daily to ensure the building never falls below minimum staffing requirements. 

·        Monitor nursing expenses and ensure the nursing department operates within budget.

·        Ensure appointments are scheduled and attended. Review all paperwork upon return. 

·        Chart on residents and monitor all charting notes to ensure completeness and accuracy.

·        Ensure the injection calendar is complete and accurate, signed, and sent to the pharmacy.

·        Track employee TB, CPR, First Aid, Insulin, and L1MA certifications.
