DIRECT CARE WORKER 

Requirements

* 2 Step TB

*  Work Physical

* Child Clearances 

* Criminal Clearances

* 2yrs proof of Residency (old tax form, old ID, old mail from 2 yrs. ago must have name and address on it)

Work Duties  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following. Other duties maybe assigned.

Bathe-tub/bed/sponge/chair/shower.

Shampoo hair/style.

Personal hygiene-shave (electric only)

Nail care-clean/file (non-diabetics) 

Oral hygiene-care of teeth/dentures lips/mouth. 

Skin care-lotion to unbroken, uninfected, healthy skin. 

Toileting/diaper change/emptying catheter and colostomy bags.  Dress/undress-Assistance with application of self-applied prostheses

 Meds-reminder/opening caps/pouring water/storage. 

Transferring/ambulation-steadying and support without the use of mechanical aids or devices. 

Bed/Living/Dining rooms-tidying/dusting of furniture 

Kitchen-sink fixtures/counters/exterior of appliances/occasional cleaning of inside fridge and oven. 

Bathroom-sink/counter/tub/mirrors/shower/commode inside & out.

Floors-vacuum/sweep/mop. 

Linen change-bed/tablecloths-mats.

Consumer's personal laundry-wash/dry/fold/hang/store/mending.

Bed side commode-urinal-bed pan-empty/clean.

Trash-gather/empty.  Shopping/errands/mail assistance

Escort/accompany to appointments.

Meal prep-setup

non-overnight home companion/ Observation-reporting changes in can condition and needs as observed.
