Dining Services PT

SUMMARY: This is an excellent opportunity for a part time position at Independence Court.  Assist in necessary food preparation, serving and maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the prep room and dining areas under the supervision of the Director of Nursing at Independence Court.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in the necessary preparation and serving of meals

2. Assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes and utensils

3. Assist in checking for menu and diet preferences

4. Ensure proper storage of foods and supplies

5. Adhere to universal precautions and sanitary and infection control policies and procedures.

6. Comply with all facility policies related to safety and infection control procedures.

7. Understand, comply with, and promote all rules and regulations regarding residents rights

8. Promote positive relationships with residents, visitors, and coworkers.

9. Present a professional appearance.

10. Must adhere to IHS, Inc. Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics policy, including

documentation and reporting responsibilities.

11. Attend and participate in staff meetings.

12. Assist in orientation and training other staff.

13. Any other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be 16 years of age and available for breakfast and lunch.

2. Must have the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

3. Must meet all local health regulations.

4. Must be able to work every other weekend and some holidays.

5. Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with fellow employees.
