Dining Room Supervisor-Lodge Retirement Community
The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the dining room operations in a senior living community, ensuring that meals are served in a timely and efficient manner, and maintaining a high level of customer service. The supervisor will manage a team of servers, ensure that the dining area is clean and organized, and monitor inventory levels.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and supervise dining room staff, ensuring that they are trained and adhere to policies and procedures
· Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, ensuring that orders are placed in a timely manner
· Ensure that the dining room is clean and organized, and that tables are set up properly
· Ensure that meals are served on time, and that food is of high quality
· Greet residents and guests, and ensure that they have an enjoyable dining experience
· Monitor resident satisfaction and address any concerns or complaints in a timely manner
· Collaborate with the culinary team to create menus and special events
· Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to the maintenance team
· Maintain a safe and healthy environment by following sanitation and safety procedures
· Attend meetings and trainings as required
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a dining room or restaurant setting
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
· ServSafe certification preferred
