Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Dietary Supervisor to join our team at Harlem Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Harlem, NY. In this role, you will oversee the food service operations, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of meals, managing the dietary team, and maintaining high standards of food preparation, sanitation, and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the timely and efficient food production and meal service to all residents.
• Develop and manage food preparation, distribution, and sanitation schedules to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting dietary personnel for the team.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, infection control, confidentiality, resident-directed care, and resident rights regulations.
• Monitor staff compliance with dietary procedures, policies, and responsibilities.
• Supervise and direct food service operations across all service areas.
• Forecast department needs (staffing, supplies, etc.) and report them to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

• Degree from an accredited college/university or completion of the 120-hour Dietary Management course.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in food service.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in long-term care or healthcare food service settings.
