Dietary Manager
Cook Hospital & Care Center is seeking a Full-Time, Exempt Dietary Manager to lead our foodservice operations. Join our compassionate team of caregivers and play an important role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents and patients through high-quality nutrition services.
Summary
The Dietary Manager oversees the daily operations of the Dietary Department, ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations, food safety standards, and patient-centered care. This role provides leadership, guidance, and support to kitchen personnel, ensuring meals are nutritious, safe, and meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise foodservice staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.

Oversee menu planning, meal preparation, and service to meet dietary needs and preferences.

Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.

Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian (RD) and healthcare team to support nutritional care plans.

Monitor department budgets, inventory, and purchasing.

Actively participate in committees, quality assurance, and safety initiatives.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Successful completion of the Certified Dietary Manager’s (CDM) Course and passing exam.
Candidates who have not yet completed the CDM program may be hired if they are willing to enroll and successfully complete the course and exam within a specified timeframe (typically within 12 months of hire). -
Two years’ experience in food service management preferred.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work cooperatively with staff, residents, and administration.
