The Line Cook prepares and provides food service to residents in a cost-effective, efficient manner to safely meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

 Common Responsibilities:

  • Assists the chef to determine the amount and type of food necessary to prepare the daily menus
  • Prepares all food items as directed by the Chef or Sous Chef and follows posted menus for food preparation
  • Monitors the use of food to eliminate waste
  • Assists in the proper storage of all food items
  • Stocks food in compliance with dietary policies and procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service by focusing on delivering excellent quality of food
  • Serves prepared food in a neat and sanitary fashion according to Chef or Sous Chef preferences
  • Contributes to creative input towards daily meals and specials
  • Maintains a sanitary work area at all times, cleans assigned areas of kitchen and assists in all aspects of general kitchen cleanup when required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1-year experience
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment use and safety
  • Background Check
  • Drug Screen
