We’re looking for a dependable Dietary Aide / Dishwasher to support our kitchen and dining services. You’ll help prepare and serve resident meals, keep dishware and work areas sanitary, and contribute to a warm, welcoming dining experience. What You’ll Do
Food Service & Trayline
Set up trayline/dining room; pull and verify diet cards (allergies, textures, portions).
Portion hot/cold foods and plate desserts per recipes and physician-ordered diets (puréed, mechanical soft, thickened liquids).
Assemble and deliver trays/carts; manage late trays and nourishments; restock hydration/coffee stations.
Provide courteous table service in the dining room and collect trays promptly.
Sanitation & Dishwashing
Operate dish machine and 3-compartment sink (wash/rinse/sanitize); air-dry and store correctly.
Wash pots/pans and small wares; keep sinks, prep tables, and carts clean and organized.
Sweep/mop floors; wipe and sanitize work surfaces; remove trash and keep floors dry and hazard-free.
Perform rotating deep cleans (walls, hoods, shelves, walk-ins, gaskets, carts).
Food Safety & Compliance
Follow HACCP/infection-control: take and log food/equipment temps; label/date and store using FIFO.
Check chemical/sanitizer concentrations; use PPE; follow SDS and spill procedures.
Prevent cross-contact for allergens; maintain separation of raw/ready-to-eat foods.
Receive deliveries, inspect for quality, and put away to standards.
Team & Kitchen Support
Assist cooks with basic prep (washing, peeling, cold assembly); restock stations and paper goods.
Communicate resident preferences/issues to the Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or cook.
Complete end-of-shift checklists and open/close duties; report equipment or safety concerns promptly.
Attend in-services; uphold HIPAA, professionalism, and customer-service standards.
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to read/follow diet cards and written/oral instructions
Comfortable with repetitive tasks at a steady pace and high quality
Stand/walk most of the shift; lift 20–25 lbs frequently (up to 50–60 lbs occasionally)
Safe use of standard cleaning chemicals and basic kitchen equipment
Team-first attitude and professional appearance
Food Handler/Sanitation certificate per state/local requirements (or willingness to obtain)
Meets all health/employment requirements (background, drug screen, TB/health clearances)
Schedule & Status
Part-Time | 8-hour shifts | On-site
Weekend/holiday availability may be required
