Diesel Mechanic

DuBrook, an M and B Company, has a position open for a full-time mechanic. This position will serve both the DuBois and Clarion locations, so travel will be required.

The successful mechanic candidate must have PA State Inspection license and own your own hand tools. A CDL Class A license is preferred. The M and B Group is a growing company with 7 locations across PA. We offer wages and benefits among the highest in the industry for our mechanics and the flexibility to meet our employees needs. Mechanic experience in concrete mixers, heavy truck, equipment, plant repairs is preferred. 

Required Tasks for Mechanic

· Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, jacks and hoists

· Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.

· Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.

· Raise trucks, heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.

· Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.

· Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly

· Must be able to follow diagnostic trouble charts, hydraulic schematics, use standard automotive tools, electronic diagnostic equipment, hydraulic pressure gauges, and flow meters

· Uses various cutting and welding equipment.
