Responsibilities:
- Administering medications and treatments to patients undergoing detoxification
- Monitoring vital signs and withdrawal symptoms of patients and adjusting treatment as necessary
- Assessing patients' medical histories and developing individualized detox plans
- Providing emotional and psychological support to patients during the detox process
- Collaborating with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Documenting patient progress and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly
- Participating in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices in detox nursing
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and protocols related to detoxification and medication management
Requirements:
- Must be a licensed registered nurse (RN)
- Knowledge and experience in substance abuse and detoxification
- Ability to provide patient-centered care and maintain a safe environment
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance abuse
