Schedule: Tuesday – Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) + some Saturdays (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

Veterans Engineering is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join the Dental Service team at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, GA. This position offers the opportunity to provide both clinical and administrative support while directly impacting the oral health and well-being of our nation’s Veterans.

Working under the general supervision of the Dental Chief or designee, the Dental Assistant will support a wide range of dental procedures and ensure that all care meets or exceeds the nationally recognized standards of the American Dental Association.

• Provide chair-side assistance for general and specialty dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontic, and surgical.

• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments to ensure readiness for patient care.

• Retract tissue, suction, and pass instruments during procedures.

• Capture and process digital radiographs with accuracy and efficiency.

• Strictly adhere to infection control protocols in compliance with Carl Vinson VA guidelines.

• Follow all VA regulations related to patient privacy and safety.

• Provide excellent service to Veterans, visitors, and staff with professionalism, respect, and courtesy.

• Prior experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting.

• Proficiency with digital radiographs.

• Familiarity with dental instruments, procedures, and chair-side support.

• Knowledge of infection control and safety standards.

• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
