Delivery Driver

Duties

• Safely operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle to deliver packages and goods across designated routes
• Load and unload cargo using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or manual lifting techniques
• Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting recipients professionally and addressing any questions or concerns
• Verify delivery accuracy, obtain signatures, and complete all necessary documentation for each drop-off
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety inspections before and after shifts
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during route driving

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of route planning and navigation tools
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Warehouse experience is a plus, especially familiarity with loading/unloading procedures and equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license (CDL) or <PERSON> driver certification preferred
• Ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly, demonstrating physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and moving tasks
• Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles and handling various types of delivery trucks such as box trucks
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, moving items, and vehicle operation
