Position: Dean of Judaic Studies
Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000

Position Overview
Seeking a dynamic educational leader to serve as Dean of Judaic Studies at Akiba Yavneh Academy, a Modern Orthodox day school in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will develop an innovative curriculum that integrates traditional Jewish learning with contemporary educational approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a rigorous K-12th grade Judaic studies curriculum that:
- Integrates traditional text study with contemporary educational approaches - Provides a holistic, intellectually stimulating Jewish education
- Aligns with Modern Orthodox and Religious Zionist values and principles - Demonstrates measurable student learning outcomes
-Teach 2 or 3 classes as determined in consultation with school leadership
Lead faculty development by
- Recruiting high-quality, mission aligned Judaic studies educators
- Providing ongoing professional development
- Conducting classroom observations and offering constructive feedback - Fostering a collaborative teaching environment
Curriculum and Instructional Leadership
- Design innovative, interactive lessons that engage students
- Create assessment standards and benchmarks to track student progress - Implement data-driven improvements to curriculum and instruction
- Facilitate cross-curricular integration between Judaic and general studies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Jewish Education, or related field
- 5+ years teaching Judaic studies in middle/high school
- Strong curriculum development skills

- Ability to engage students across learning styles
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Deep commitment to Modern Orthodox Jewish education
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with interdisciplinary curriculum development, project based learning and experiential education
- Background in Israel education and Israel gap year program guidance
-Proficiency in modern Hebrew
