OVERVIEW

 

Ridley College is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Data Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology team. Reporting to the Senior Data Systems Analyst, you will play a vital role in developing, maintaining, and securing our database products and applications. You will ensure accurate data collection, processing, modeling, and analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational excellence across academic, athletic, and business functions.

 

The Data Systems Analyst will:

 

Design, configure, and maintain database systems and related applications to support school operations.

 

Manage data in Blackbaud CORE and associated modules, including upgrades, backups, and security controls.

 

Monitor system access, write procedures and scripts, and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.

 

Develop data models, reports, and dashboards using Power BI, SQL, and Python to support decision-making.

 

Automate data workflows and integrations across platforms using Power Automate.

 

Document processes, maintain system documentation, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

 

Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, escalating when necessary.

 

Collaborate with IT team members, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver solutions and improvements.

 

Present data analysis and dashboard examples to school leaders and staff.

 


QUALIFICATIONS

·         Post-secondary diploma or university degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.

·         Progress toward relevant industry certifications/designations (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft SQL) is preferred.

·         Minimum 2 years of experience performing database administration functions, ideally within an educational institution.

·         Hands-on experience with database management, data modeling, and analytics.

·         In-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server and Microsoft Azure database products.

·         Proficient in at least one programming language, preferably Python.

·         Strong skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and data visualization tools such as Power BI.

·         Experience with data dashboards, reporting, and large dataset analysis.

·         Familiarity with cloud-based education management solutions (Blackbaud preferred).

·         Superior interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate across all levels.

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
