DSD Laboratories, a leader in Cybersecurity, IT Portfolio / Project Management and Big Data Analytics Decision Support is currently seeking a motivated and qualified professional for an exciting opportunity to lead/manage/coordinate the creation/configuration of advanced data visualizations, dashboards, and decision support tools that integrate machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to aid in Senior Leader decision making across the Air Force Logistics community.

About The Team

The team focuses on two areas: Customer Service and Capability Delivery

· We provide critical customer support to 36k+ users on a regular basis. This support is satisfied through emails, phone calls, training sessions and web publishing / communications.

· The team delivers decision support capabilities to the U.S. Air Force warfighter using AGILE methodologies.

How will YOU support the customers?

· Get It Done – Successfully deliver end-to-end projects/capabilities working through a wide range of challenges and opportunities across multiple organizations.

· Communicate – Communicate regularly with your customers, teammates and stakeholders on both technical and non-technical topics.

· Create – Utilize analytics platforms with business intelligence tools to create, test, and deploy enterprise capabilities (data models, dashboards, reports, etc.)

· Collaborate – Work closely with individuals across the team to share ideas and ensure accurate and timely product delivery.

About the Position

The data scientist works closely with data analysts, business analysts, product owners, and key stakeholders to create, deploy, and manage capabilities that apply advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques (forecasting, clustering, NLP, Generative AI, and more) to provide actionable decisions. Strong Python and SQL skills with AI/ML experience is required for this role. Preferred individual is self-motivated with a proactive work ethic who prioritizes client delivery.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

· 3+ years of experience in data science

· Experience with Python libraries used for AI development (TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or Keras)

· Demonstrated experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques

· 3+ years of experience with tools like Databricks or Jupyter Notebooks

· Strong SQL scripting capabilities for data query and preparation

· Design and implement dashboards integrating AI/ML models using business intelligence visualization tools (preferably Qlik Sense)

· Ensure the performance, efficiency, and scalability of deployed products (models, dashboards, etc.)

· Experience gathering, analyzing, and translating requirements into functional specifications, prototypes, and working capabilities

· Requires strong organizational skills and action-oriented personality; experience leading tasks and tracking actions across multiple organizations

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities backed by solid writing and highly-effective communication skills; must collaborate constructively and effectively with project end-users, customers, advocates and stakeholders

· Active US Government Secret Clearance required

Other Skills (beneficial, not required)

· Master’s Degree or higher in data science, computer science, information systems, mathematics, or similar discipline

· Analytical and problem-solving skills with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, and SAP Business Objects)

· Experience with automated machine learning platforms like DataRobot

· Data Access and Management experience with tools like DataBricks and iQuery

· Familiarity with US Air Force logistsics data

· Continuing education - DSD will reimburse educational expenses directly related to career opportunity.

Start date: Immediately

BS / BA degree (or equivalent) required

DoD SECRET clearance required.

Estimated travel is ~5%. DSD Labs is an EOE and AA employer
