Job Description:

Boundary Equipment is seeking an analytical and service-focused Data Analyst to support the daily data and reporting needs across the Boundary Mining Group. This role will report to the Manager of Digital Operations and will play an important part in maintaining data tools, designing dashboards, automating workflows, and ensuring that internal teams have the information they need to operate effectively. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives on turning data into actionable insights and can work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and launch interactive dashboards and data tools using Power BI.
  • Design and maintain automations, such as through Power Automate, to connect ERP data to other platforms for operations, such as SharePoint and Kanban
  • Maintain and improve project management tools such as Kanban.
  • Digest and analyze data for business intelligence.
  • Communicate data-driven insights to business partners and management.
  • Understand user’s requirements and support diverse teams by providing data, analysis, and reports.
  • Any other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst.
  • University degree of certificate in at least on the following disciplines: Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Data Science.
  • Proven experience in creation of dashboards, data visualization and reporting.
  • Proven experience and knowledge with SQL (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server).
  • Experience with the Power BI and Power Automate platforms.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud Services is preferred.
  • Programming experience is preferred, such as with Python or JavaScript.

·         Ability to work independently and able to work in teams cross-functionally.

·         Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of information.

·         Strong attention to detail.

·         Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

·         Ability to present complex information in a simplified way to various audiences.


Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour lunch.
  • Travel to other Boundary Mining Group companies in Vancouver on a quarterly basis.
  • Confidential work environment, handling sensitive company information.
  • Office setting with extended periods of sitting and use of a computer & peripherals.
