Dairy Frozen Food Clerk

General Purpose: The Dairy/Frozen Food Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring our customers have the best possible experience and can easily locate products in the dairy and frozen areas of the store 

 

Work Schedule: 40+ hours per week, weekend work required

Responsibilities & Duties: 

  • Customer Service 

  • Inventory Control 

  • Maintain organized and clean the Dairy/Frozen Food Department and storerooms 

  • Stock and maintain display of merchandise in the Dairy/Frozen Food Department 

  • Use bailer, pallet jacks and forklifts in compliance with company safety policy 

  • Monitor product quality, freshness, and condition 

  • Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy Assist in training associates when assigned 

  • Maintain basic knowledge of all products sold in the department 

  • Be observant of security problems and develop methods of prevention  

  • Understand and practice store safety rules  

  • Communicate with the Grocery Manager on problems and recommendations for change 

  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations 

  • Help in front end, cashier, and other departments when needed 

  • Perform any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by the Grocery and/or Store Manager
