Customer Success Specialist - School Crowdfunding Fundraising Campaigns 

Would you like to provide our Public High School customers with guidance to help them create and run successful fundraising campaigns on our online peer-to-peer crowdfunding platform www.SafeSponsors.com ?  If so, you may qualify to become a key member of our growing, mission-driven team that currently supports 60+ schools in IN, OH and IL. And with your help, we expect to cover schools across the entire US within the next 12 months!

 

Requirements:  1+ Years of experience in, or familiarity with:

• Supporting customer success, sales, customer service, or marketing
• Fundraising campaigns, ideally related to K12 programs supporting families and children, or school sports
• Online crowdfunding,  i.e. GoFundMe, KickStarter, Classy, Donordrive, Donately, Fundly, Snap!Raise, etc
• Social media, video and email marketing or outreach
• Some CRM experience – Hubspot is a plus 
• Working with small businesses

 

The Ideal Candidate:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working face-to-face, virtually and by phone with school staff, volunteer fundraisers, and small business owners
• Passionate for and a strong interest in crowdfunding and fundraising and nonprofit sector 
• Process-minded, flexible, collaborative problem solver
• Aligns with our mission to empower schools to become crowdfunding experts and safely and effectively raise money
• Adapts to change, ambiguity and risks of working in a fast-paced and fun startup
• Works well with minimal supervision
• Enjoys working remotely or you live near Bloomington IN

Role Responsibilities:

• Identify, connect with, train, and help school staff and volunteer fundraisers to run successful crowdfunding campaigns from creation and launch, to funding and fulfillment.  This includes educating fundraisers and helping them create and share compelling stories on our platform and social media, and checking-in throughout the life of the campaigns
• Work with our sales, marketing, compliance, and operations teams to ensure campaigns are launching in a timely manner and reaching their funding goals
• Build on and document customer successes, tools and stories, and share with other schools and communities
• Engage fundraiser and donor audiences through social media, video, email, phone calls, and events
• Maintain a positive working relationship between schools, communities, public and business donors
• Help with post-campaign fulfillment and distribution of donor info and perks
