Job Overview:

The Pharmacy Cashier at Sweetgrass Pharmacy and Compounding supports the overall mission in providing patients with amazing customer service by handling financial transactions and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role also sells over the counter items and retail to customers and patients. This position is a great role for someone who wants to become a pharmacy technician and learn many different aspects of the company.  We have full-time and part-time onsite positions available.  Saturday work is on a rotation.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Interact with walk-in customers and perform activities such as accepting hard-copy prescriptions and ringing up purchases through a cash register.
• Create weight loss kits for patients that includes syringes, alcohol swabs, and patient education.
• Engage a Pharmacist to speak with a patient for any specific medication related questions. 
• Assist customers with over-the-counter medications and other items offered for sale in the front of the pharmacy.
• Assist with the shipping department when needed.
• Other Duties As Assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Pleasant demeanor and ability to handle a variety of customer service issues
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Must be collaborative and able to perform as part of a team
• Ability to be coached.
• Ability to learn applicable pharmacy software(s).
• Ability to work a cash register.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple math.
• Ability to abide by Sweetgrass Pharmacy and Compounding’s core values
