CRNA PRN

IMC is looking to add a CRNA on a PRN basis. The staff CRNA is a member of a team of professionals who are available to deliver different types of anesthetics to a wide variety of patients of all age groups and health status in Iberia Medical Center. Anesthetizing locations are primarily limited to the Surgical Suite and the Labor and Delivery Unit. Emergent situations in other areas of the hospital my dictate the CRNA’s presence there.
WORK HOURS:
- 7:00am - 3:00pm as needed
- No call & No Weekends
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program; Graduate of an approved Nurse Anesthesia Program
- Must be licensed in the State of Louisiana as a Registered Nurse, and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Must also be nationally Certified (or Re-certified) by the Council on Certification of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Basic Life Support certification
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- Staff CRNA’s will attend the hospital required orientation, as well as a comprehensive orientation to the Anesthesia department. Familiarization of the Policies and Procedures of the department will be part of the 90 day Probationary Period.
PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain current/appropriate licensures.
- Report to work as scheduled in proper attire with appropriate ID.
- Consistently demonstrates job performance which reflects commitment to the core values of IMC; actively promotes the hospital and supports the mission and core values of the hospital.
- Be familiar with the Policies and Procedures of IMC’s Anesthesia department and apply them to situations as necessary.
- Perform assignments with accuracy and professionalism.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Respect and assist co-workers.
- Establish a respectful compassionate relationship with clients of IMC.
- Respond professionally in situations that require a CRNA’s expertise.
- Be familiar with the IMC Standards of Excellence.
