Job Summary

The Crew Member is responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. They are also responsible for educating customers about our premium products. The Crew Member will fulfill any other duties instructed by the General Manager, Assistant General Manager or Shift Supervisor and will represent Go Greek Yogurt in a professional manner.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities 

Sales/ Customer Service

  • Sells and serves products to customers in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Participates in all sales promotions effectively and efficiently.
  • Safely handles all foods during receiving, preparing, and serving to customers.
  • Receives and calls back customer orders in an efficiently and friendly manner.
  • Responds pro-actively to customers to prevent and resolve customer service situations.
  • Rings sales orders into cash register and counts back change to customers in a courteous and friendly manner, while ensuring safe cash handling procedures and ensuring accuracy.
  • Answers telephone in a courteous and friendly manner and ensures to state store greeting, directions to store location, and properly receives and fills customer orders.
  • Answers customer questions regarding products, service, and store in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Packages all retail and beverage customer orders according to company guidelines.
  • Maintains and promotes fast, efficient, and friendly service standards.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Store Operations

  • Restocks shelves when necessary.
  • Cleans behind bar counter area, floor, fridges, windows, espresso machine routinely.
  • Takes out trash when needed.
  • Follows brand guidelines in store and takes ownership of the store cleanliness.
  • Assists in the distribution of daily shipments.
  • Reports potential safety hazards to the Manager on Duty.
  • Reports all employee accidents and operational inconsistencies to Manager on Duty.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Ensures that all customers are educated on our products and services.
  • Maintains the highest quality product standards consistently.
  • Follows all company recipes and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Assists in maintaining a clean, well-merchandised store.
  • Assists in following visual presentation plans and standards.
  • Ensures store is kept clean, presentable, and meets Company standards.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in retail/specialty store or food establishment preferred.
  • Register and cash handling experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and oral skills.
  • Ability to be organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to train new hires.
  • Ability and willingness to work on special events and/or holidays, as needed.
  • Consistently demonstrates positive company morale.
  • Has or willing to obtain NYS Food Permit.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Required)

Language:

  • Fluent English (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Food Handler Certification (Required)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Preferred)
  • Night Shift (Preferred)
