We’re looking for a detail-oriented, mission-driven professional to join our team in a key role focused on the strategic evaluation and oversight of commercial loans. This position plays a critical role in structuring and screening complex credit transactions—including those involving New Market Tax Credits—and guiding credit policy, procedures, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the training and oversight of Credit Analysts.
  • Participate in loan screening, structuring, and covenant setting to ensure alignment with loan policy.
  • Support credit department initiatives focused on process improvements.
  • Prepare and present credit reports to leadership and loan committees.
  • Provide well-reasoned loan recommendations for approval or denial.
  • Assign and justify appropriate risk ratings for new and existing loans.
  • Monitor borrower performance and covenant compliance to maintain credit quality and minimize risk.
  • Spread and analyze financial statements.
  • Contribute to the development of internal manuals and process documentation.
  • Generate internal reports as requested by officers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 8 years of commercial credit analysis or lending experience within the banking industry is required for this position.
  • Strong understanding of credit policies, loan documentation, and risk management practices.
  • Well-developed analytical and financial evaluation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated and the ability to take initiative.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
