Regional Director of Sales

We are currently looking for a highly motivated, determined, well-spoken, and experienced Regional Director of Sales Manager with a minimum of 5 years of hotel industry experience who understands the meaning of leading a high-performance team within a given territory. Key Responsibilities:
- Work with General Managers to recruit, hire, onboard, ramp up and initially and routinely train and lead hotel Director of Sales, Sales Managers and Area Sales Managers within a given territory.
- Assist in coaching, mentoring, and providing input in performance evaluations, disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Work with Sales Leaders to generate top-line revenue and RevPAR for hotels through a successful sales and revenue management strategy for all Corporate Negotiated, Group, and Contract sales.
- Work with Hotel Sales Leaders to prospect, solicit and capture top accounts in market while working with brand managers to also capture top volume accounts.
- Mentor property Sales Leaders on client relationships and increasing revenue.
- Work with Hotel Sales Leaders to create and implement a budget plan, marketing plan and forecasts on a monthly and annual basis.
- Work with Hotel Sales Leaders and Revenue Management to meet and exceed budget through rate structure.
- Conduct Weekly Sales Meetings and prepare meeting minutes between Hotel Sales Leaders and General Managers on weekly sales efforts and focuses.
- Utilize Delphi to track and monitor Sales Leader sales efforts and productivity on an administrative and leadership level.
- Work as a liaison between corporate standard operating procedures and hotel Sales Leaders to ensure they are following Greens sales policy.
- Travel to hotel properties to meet with Sales Leaders on a Quarterly basis to provide hands on training and review.
- Travel to hotel properties when needed to work with sales leaders for training opportunities, high volume client appointments, sales blitz, new opening sales efforts, etc.
- Work with hotel Sales Leaders to maximize profitability within all areas of their hotel.
- Direct activities and focuses to hotel Sales Leaders.
- Monitor hotel Sales Leader activity and performance utilizing Delphi, Weekly Sales goals and structure as well Greens performance checks.
- Provide tools and resources to the hotel Sales Leader to enhance productivity and sales efforts.
- Reports to the Corporate Director of Sales.
Leadership:
- Lead a talented sales team that makes the Greens vision a reality. - Forge relationships and build rapport. Cultivate, enhance, and leverage external and internal relationships to elevate hotel and market share awareness and drive business.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Highly developed written and verbal English communication skills to effectively negotiate, persuade, influence, and sell.
- Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Choice, Best Western, and G6 brand experience.
- Ability to routinely travel to hotels within their given territories on a quarterly basis as well as routinely travel to the Corporate office located in Irvine, CA.
- Ability to effectively train and lead a team
- Ability to effectively and efficiently schedule, manage and delegate work.
- Excellent communication skills with a positive, charismatic and patient demeanor.
- The ability to multitask all areas of the sales leadership process, including; ability to train all aspects of the Sales Leader role, task force vacant positions and new hire ramp up, coach and council, and all other areas of the sales cycle.
What are we looking for?
To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- Five (5) years of experience as a Sales Leader managing multiple properties and/or leading and supporting a team of Sales Leaders.
- Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and other Microsoft Suite software.
- Must be familiar with general sales software’s such as STS, Delphi, Salesforce and/or Hotel Sales Pro.
- Know how to read and interpret a STAR report, experience working with revenue management and General Managers on a support basis
