The Job In A Few Words:

The Corporate Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing overall Partner support and serves as a consultant to our Management Partners on Partner-related items. The Corporate Director of Human Resources will be a Partner champion and change agent and is a resource for all Partner Resource needs.

What U Can Expect To Do:

  • Collaborates with management to develop, communicate and administer various Partner resources policies, guidelines, and procedures, in accordance with law and government regulations.
  • Responds to Partner needs, such as general questions, wage request, benefits, Partner support and guidance, etc.
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Resolves general associate relations questions. Gathers information for investigations. Addresses turnover and looks for trends and problems. Identifies areas of impact both positive and negative related to culture/values that impact workplace. Supports consistency in practice of SOP and employment law.
  • Represents HR in corporate wide initiatives. May conduct training classes on HR issues and Partner orientations.

For U To Be Successful U Must:

  • Demonstrates professional behavior reflective of Humanist Hospitality’s Mission and Values.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and apply a common sense understanding and approach.
  • People management/supervisory experience (for Property Managers).
  • Technical knowledge of Human Resources specialties including employment law, employee relations, management and organizational development, staffing, training and compensation.
  • Written and oral presentation skills including stand-up presentation skills.
  • Flexibility, problem solving and organization skills.
  • Coaching, counseling, negotiating and conflict management skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
  • Must produce work of consistently high quality; excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable of the policies/practices within the company and has the ability to apply those consistently and equitably in sometimes ambiguous situations.

Do U Have:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
  • Five to eight years’ experience in Corporate Human Resources is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Hospitality Human Resources management experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Due to the nature of our business i.e. 24/7 operations, must have flexibility to work hours outside of typical business hours.
  • Must be able to read, write, sit, stand and walk. Position requires a lot of work on the computer requiring manual dexterity, concentration and visual acuity.
  • Due to the layout of the facility and grounds, must have the ability to be physically mobile, climb stairs, traverse the campus on uneven, hilly terrain.
  • A current, valid driver's license.
  • Limited travel may be required.
