Attendance Management Coordinator

We are adding on a new position, Coordinator of Housing Staff Substitutes. This person will be responsible for managing the scheduling and coordination of substitute staff to ensure efficient coverage of absences and vacancies within the housing department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Database Management:
- Develop and maintain a database of qualified substitute staff.
Scheduling and Coordination:
- Schedule and coordinate substitute staff to cover absences and vacancies effectively.
- Communicate assignments and expectations clearly to substitute staff.
Orientation and Briefing:
- Ensure substitutes are briefed on their roles, responsibilities, and any specific consumer needs.
- Complete weekly billable hours, 22-23 hours.
Complete billable shifts:
- 3 shifts will be billable and 2 shifts will work in office.
- We have varies shifts available.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in staffing coordination or human resources.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Ability Matters Ohio.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Initiative to take ownership of tasks and follow through to completion.
- First Aid and CPR training (or willingness to obtain).
- Completion and maintenance of all required Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) training.
- Clear background check and drug test.
- Valid driver’s license with fewer than six (6) points.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Physical Requirements:
- Regular physical activities including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and potentially lifting up to 45 pounds.
- Assistance to consumers with physical difficulties, involving kneeling, sitting, standing, crawling, pushing, and pulling throughout the day.
- Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including air-conditioned buildings, exposure to weather extremes, varying noise levels, and situations involving anti-social behavior or bodily fluids.
- Capability to manage and perform effectively in potentially stressful situations.
